Tabletter er vanligvis tilgjengelige i doser p\u00e5 25 mg, 200 mg eller 400 mg. Tablettene er som regel sk\u00e5ret p\u00e5 midten, slik at du lett kan dele dem i to. Du kan ogs\u00e5 dele halvdelene i to for \u00e5 f\u00e5 den n\u00f8yaktige mengden du \u00f8nsker.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Hvis en niacintablett tas p\u00e5 tom mage, vil det oppst\u00e5 en flush (hvis det i det hele tatt skal skje) innen ca. 20 minutter. Hvis niacin tas rett etter et m\u00e5ltid, kan en slik flush bli forsinket. Faktisk kan flushen oppst\u00e5 lenge nok etterp\u00e5 til at du glemte at du tok niacinen! Ikke la flushen overraske deg. Husk at niacinen gj\u00f8r dette iblant, og du kan enkelt overv\u00e5ke det.<\/p>\n<p>Hvis du vil ha en flush med en gang, kan du pulverisere niacin-tabletten. Dette gj\u00f8res enkelt ved \u00e5 knuse den mellom to skjeer. Pulverisert niacin p\u00e5 tom mage kan resultere i en flush (r\u00f8dme) i l\u00f8pet av minutter.<\/p>\n<p>Det er to vanlig tilgjengelige former for niacin uten flush, niacinamid og inositolheksaniacinat. Etter min mening er inositolheksaniacinat mindre effektivt enn vanlig niacin. <b>Niacinamid senker ikke serumkolesterolet.<\/b> Dette er viktige forskjeller \u00e5 huske ved kj\u00f8p.<\/p>\n<p>Det er lurt \u00e5 ta alle de andre B-komplekse vitaminene i et eget tilskudd i tillegg til niacinen. B-vitaminene, er som profesjonelle baseballspillere og fungerer best som et lag. Likevel ser det ut til at kroppen trenger proporsjonalt mer niacin enn de andre B-vitaminene. Selv den amerikanske anbefalte daglige dosen (RDA) for niacin er mye mer enn for noe annet B-vitamin. Mange leger anser <b>dagens RDA for niacin p\u00e5 bare 20 mg for \u00e5 v\u00e6re altfor lav for optimal helse<\/b>.
